What to Expect

When you walk into Goodyear for the first time, we hope that you feel welcomed and an instant part of our family. We are like anyone else, an imperfect church made of imperfect people doing our best to serve a perfect God.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
- Hebrews 10:24-25

Our hope is that you feel encouraged to grow in the knowledge and your relationship with Christ through worship and fellowship with the people of Goodyear. If your first visit to Goodyear is during Sunday School, we hope that you will sit down with a group of peers and feel welcomed while learning about Christ during that time. If your first visit is during a worship service, we hope that you will enjoy a joyful celebration of Christ's love for us, while also hearing a message of hope, letting each of us know about how Christ desires to draw us closer to him.

In our services, you will find music that is "blended" with a mixture of hymns of the faith mixed in with more modern songs of worship. We value the substance of our songs over the style that is chosen, so that you don't have to worry about anything being sung, just to be sung. Our songs are led by a full praise band and a Worship Choir on occasion. The Worship Choir also presents special musicals to celebrate the Christmas and Easter seasons.

Our hope is that as you visit Goodyear, that you will leave knowing you have been encouraged and have grown in your Christian walk during that time.
